Grants for Neighbourhood Plans announced

The Government has announced that funding for Neighbourhood Plans will be available from 1 May 2013.

Grants of up to £7,000 are available per neighbourhood planning group.

Neighbourhood planning groups can apply for grants as well as direct support, and receive both at the same time.

You can apply for any amount from £500 up to £7,000, as long as you have a plan for how to spend it. You should apply for the full amount of funding needed to deliver your project, so for example if you need £2,000 now and a further £3,000 in a few months, you only have to fill in one application form.

The grant assessment will be based on the information provided on your application form. We will aim to inform you of the outcome of your application within 10 working days.

Get ready to apply

In advance of the formal launch you can start to prepare for your grant application by previewing the kind of information you will need to supply when you apply.

Please don’t send us anything before the 1 May as we will be unable to process it.
