Alrewas Neighbourhood Plan (Consultation)

The Alrewas Neighbourhood Plan has completed the 6 week local consultation process and representations made by the public and Lichfield DC Planning during that period are currently being considered for inclusion into the main document.

The next step is for Lichfield District Council to ensure that the plan complies fully with the NPPF (National Planning Policy Framework) and that all Statutory Consultees have had an opportunity to make their comments. This process of review takes place over a separate 6 week period.

Parallel to this final consultation, LDC Planning and Alrewas PC have started the process of appointing an Independent Examiner through the Government supported NPIERS agency. The role of the Examiner is to provide a recommendation as to whether or not the Neighbourhood Plan should go forward to a Referendum. Were it to go to Referendum and achieve a majority of votes in favour, then the Neighbourhood Plan would be adopted by Lichfield DC as part of the emerging Local Plan.
